I had several issues with my boat keeping me off the water. Water pump on my starboard engine was not functioning correctly and my trim sensors were not functioning at all. The trim sensors are not a big deal but since the boat was in the shop I wanted it diagnosed in the least. Neither water pump had ever been replaced and with it being so hard to get into shops in Anchorage I wanted them to replace the port motor water pump as well. They replaced both water pumps, serviced the engines and lower units, and diagnosed that the sensors were bad and needed to be replaced due to a wire short from the battery. The sensors are not in town and I don't need them to run the boat so they ordered the sensors for me and will replace them later in the season. I called several shops in town and was told everything from 3 months to booked for the year. I decided to go in and talk to the staff at BWA in person. The staff was very pleasant and Tristan helped work out a timeframe that would work out for both of us. This is the second time I have used BWA for issues with my boat and will not be taking it anywhere else in the future.

We brought our boat to Boatworks for a doghouse for a new Kodiak marine motor. They were able to get this finished in a timely manner.
We took the boat out to Finger Lake to test the new motor and then began to have issues. The motor would start but when we stopped for a while and would restart it, it wound die. After two attempts of having to use a kicker motor to get to shore, we called the company who installed the new Kodiak motor. They told me that it may need vents or a block of wood under the. Doghouse. But he would be there. to show me how to run a boat.
I then called Boatworks. They said bring it in. We were treated professionally and promptly!
They installed vents.
They also found 2 cut bildge wires dragging with shrink tape around them.
They also found the fuel return lines were crossed.
They repaired all these items, called and let us know it was ready. We have been to the lake since and tested it and it works great!
Trust me....these guys know what they are doing!!!!
We wish we knew about this company before we would have had them install the Kodiak motor too!!!!!!

There a little busy but do great work

As a Christian man and a Pastor and the owner of a 30’ Bayliner without a lot of experience I searched quite awhile for a “total boat service. I needed a shop that could handle everything from the installation of a microwave to servicing both the main engine to the smaller kicker.
Ron and his staff were exactly what I needed. The technicians are superb with a lot of patience. His front office staff is quite a joy to talk to. She listens and takes down all my concerns. Then if needed checks with the guys in the back for clarification.
The work was completed on time and beyond my expectations. I recommend Boat Works of Alaska to anyone .

I dealt with this company multiple times now. They are always courteous and know there business well. Every employee I have talked to was polite. They always go above and beyond to give me great service. I was especially impressed recently. They helped me find boat throttle cables that no one else in alaska could seem to find without waiting months for backorders. I will continue to work with this company for years to come.

The undersigned is a Marine Surveyor and Maritime Claims Adjuster in Alaska. This company is also the Lloyds Agency for Alaska. Primarily, I handle maritime accidents and hull claims throughout the state on behalf of Hull Underwriters. I have worked with Boat Works of Alaska on two claims over the past years involving mechanical and extensive fiberglass repairs on two vessels. Both claims were handled by Boat Works of Alaska in an expeditious and professional manner. Both repair jobs came in on budget with no surprise overages or change orders. Once the vessels were delivered back to the owners, they were satisfied with the repairs. This office would be happy to see them assigned as the repair shop of future claims, and we look forward to working with them on future jobs. I understand they are looking to expand their facilities, which, in my view, would beneficially serve the marine industry, and vessel owners here in Alaska

I have used this business for several years. They have provided excellent service and are very professional. On many occasions I just wanted to ask a question and they are always willing to help. Boat Works just helped me buy a used boat, and the whole process was so straightforward and professionally done. We were worried about buying a boat in the winter, but they thawed it out, did the inspections, checked the engine, rewinterized it, and even handled all of the nuances of title transfer and bill of sale. We didn’t even have to worry about how to transfer the cash to the seller - they handled the brokerage for a super reasonable fee. These folks are amazing! Our gym needed new handles for our battle ropes and nobody else would touch them! Rob didn't hesitate! Even though the job was way out of their normal scope, he told us he'd take care of it! There's been great communication and he's paid close attention to what we needed, even ordering special materials and testing them to make sure they'd hold up through the extensive use we're going to put them through! We don't even have a boat! The best type of people work here so go! If you go somewhere else you're going to miss out!

Laura was very helpful on the phone even though they are at a high volume time of year with winterizing. This company sure gave me a great impression on the phone and I will be using them in the future.

Rob is great to work with. From my experience they do the best work in Anchorage. Taken my boat in multiple times for various repairs. There have been times where I had deadlines for needing the boat and they worked at an accelerated pace or on the weekends to complete the job. Definitely something you don't see in other businesses.

Took my smaller river runner with 40hp honda to get serviced. Had the water pump changed and full tuneup. They were very professional and service was excellent. I will return again if needed.
